Essen Yousaf is the founder of Pearl Pathway Realty Group and a real estate broker with the Kim Alden Team at Compass. His approach to real estate combines hands-on investing experience, analytical discipline, and a practical understanding of what it means to own, improve, and manage property over time.
Before focusing on real estate, Essen spent more than 25 years in analytics, strategy, and decision-making, including leading market-access and business insights work within the healthcare industry. Much of his work centered on turning complex market, financial, and performance data into clear stories and practical recommendations. That same instinct to look beyond the obvious, question assumptions, and understand what the numbers are really saying now shapes how he approaches real estate.
Essen first entered real estate as an investor. What began as an interest in numbers, strategy, and long-term value quickly became a deeper appreciation for the full life cycle of a property. From identifying opportunities and negotiating acquisitions to improving, leasing, and managing properties, his experience has been built through direct ownership and execution.
Pearl Pathway Realty Group grew from that experience. Its philosophy is simple: make thoughtful decisions, understand the downside as well as the upside, and never lose sight of the long-term objective. Whether Essen is helping a family purchase a home, advising a seller, or evaluating an investment opportunity, he brings the same disciplined approach to understanding value, risk, timing, and fit.

Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs are both home and an important part of Essen’s real estate experience. Living, raising his family, and investing in the area gives him a firsthand perspective on the communities and markets he serves.
Outside of real estate, Essen enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He also plays racquetball competitively, a longtime passion that reflects his appreciation for focus, strategy, and discipline.
